Work Redesigned
Canva Create
Canva events and launches aim to be innovative, unexpected, and showcase the power of Canva in bridging both creativity and productivity. In Los Angeles for the first time. Canva Create: Work Redesigned arrived to change the way we work.

Focusing on a new audience for the next decade, Canva aims to empower every organization. With the theme ‘Work Redesigned’ for this year’s Canva Create, we focused on how visual communication, workplace tools, and generative AI are reshaping how we work.

Surprise and delight moments like our secret portal to enter the redesigned Canva experience and our cheeky rap not only helped us stand out, but also achieve our massive goals.

Brand Idea and System

For every event, we start by defining the theme, and after exploring dozens of potential themes, we landed on ‘Work Redesigned’. From there, we built a toolkit with everything from our event logos to the color palettes, key photography, and the brand for all of Canva to use.

Smooth, playful, and easy. Our brand system captured the feeling of creation and collaboration within Canva. The panel system mirrored the editor’s pages, highlighting a streamlined flow of work. We also used vibrant colors inspired by the Visual Suite, along with our core gradient and rich textures.

The Show

With over 2.5 million people registered to tune in from across the globe, we wanted to create a show that’s engaging for both our live and digital audiences. So for the keynote, we designed an imaginary office building where speakers took the audience through the Marketing, Sales, HR, and Creative floors.

Our unscripted intro video filmed with real community members helped set the scene for the show to come.

In our Swag Shop, attendees snagged tote bags with punny lines, which they could customize with press-on patches.
